How to make wild violet syrup!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of wild violets
  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 cups os sugar    

Instructions 

Steep 24 hours in 2 cups of hot water. Strain the next day into a pot and add 2 cups of sugar. Then boil for 10 minutes, until you get a syrup. If you want it more pinky purple than blue purple, add some drops of lemon juice while boiling. Keep in the fridge. I use it for salad dressings, sweeten tea, or as a honey/maple syrup replacement.
